Problems with four screens

Hello.

I run Cubase 5 on four Monitors vertically arranged. Two on the bottom and two above. I allways worked like this without a problem on a pc. (please don´t evaluate this, i love my macs and i just write it to approve that it can work)

My problem concerns the following:

when i draw the aranger window over the four screens from the left upper corner to the right down corner (so that all four screens are filled). everything is fine. And the window stays like this. But when i click inside it or work in it, it switches away from the two lower monitors to the two upper monitors as if it does not want to fill four screens but only wants to fill two screens in fullscreen. The same thing happens when I use two Monitors vertically arranged. There are a few applications like iphoto where the window does not switch back. Most applications switch back to the upper monitors. If I arrange the four Monitors side by side there is no switching at all.

I tried everything to work this out, but i could not find a way to solve this problem. I talked to a professional from apples technical support and he said, that this behavior of the window is obviously caused - maybe even on pupose, by the particular software.

I have two Gforce 120 GT cards. Both have minidisplay and DVI ports. Two of the LG Screens use the Dvi Ports and the other two are conected to the minidisplayports just over minidisplay-DVI Adapter. No Dual Link. If I use just one card with two screens this way, or if I use both cards with two screens just over DVI, or two cards with 2 screens just over minidisplayport, the problem remains anyway.

I think it is like Apples OS X is programmed that way. And that some programms such as Iphoto or Finder are programmed so, two not automaticaly switch there mainwindow in anyway.

When I first used Cubase on my Mac Pro i suddenly realized that the permanent locked menu bar of OS X steals me space at the upper border of my four screens setup. I found a post in the internet that told me what to do, to let the menu bar fade out program specific, in my case, only in Cubase. I just had to edit the info.plist file of Cubase 5 and write in it:

<key>LSUIPresentationMode</key>
<integer>4</integer>

After doing that, the menu bar fades in and out when i move the curser at the upper border of the screen. Great.

I hope there is a way to just change some entries somewhere like that, to solve my problem.

If anyone has a tip for me or any suggestions what i could do i would be very grateful.
