has anybody else been experiencing a significant increase in the frequency of the "spinning beachball" phenomenon since the latest update?

i haven't had any problems with my 1.25 aluBook (512 RAM) since i bought it, and most updates have been great - but this safari 1.2.1/10.3.3 has been acting up.

has anybody else had this problem?

any ideas on what to do?

i've repaired permissions and run cron scripts.....

Nope i am not experiencing this.

Try closing Safari, deleting the com.apple.Safari.plist file in your ~/library/preferences folder, and then restarting Safari

It does seems to be slower since the update than before for me. Especially on sites which are heavily on server side scripting like E-Bay. That makes no sense, but it's what it seems like.

It took me a few months to figure this one out. Here is my post from MacFixit...

I found the problem:) If you turn on Preferences:Autofill:Other forms and it gets really full (I have been doing a lot of job applications and lots of searches) the problem will be present. You need to clear this puppy every once in a while. I had several hundred in there. I can no longer reproduce the problem using the MacFixit site; however, just a simple search creates another entry.

I got the hint from

Not an issue on my side since I don't use that feature. It's just slower overall recently.
