Processor upgrades for G4

Anyone have experience upgrading MAC. I have a G4 400 and would like to upgrade to a 1gig or a dual 1gig but not sure what products to look for and what to beware of.

Take a look at Powerlogix cards

I have a PowerLogix 1Ghz upgrade in my G4/450 and it runs great. OtherWorldComputing handles all of them and a new 1.33Ghz card - MecuryExtreme

Right now, GigaDesign seems to have the best cards. OWC carry them, too (macsales.com)

I got an 800mhz GigaDesigns upgrade and its been great, not too expensive either.

I was thinking of upgrading, but I think I'll go with a new G4 later this year. How easy is it to install the new processor?

Pretty. But then I've also done it a dozen times, so I don't know if my words count

You need a tong and a grounding strap. And be careful to pull the old processor directy out so you don't bend any pins on it. That way you can sell it, or send it to me for overclocking

I have a GigaDesign 1.25GHz in a Gigabit Ethernet Mac. Runs great.
