hi. im taking a course that gives us access to audio lectures. the only problem is, I rarely have access to the internet. is there a way for me to download asx audio files or wma files that are embedded in a javascript pop up? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried using an extension in Firefox like Video DownloadHelper or Download Embedded? It's supposed to be able to extract various types of audio and video from websites. Once you have the files, install Perian and Flip4Mac and see if QuickTime is able to play them.

If you're using Safari, you can select Activity from the Window menu to get a list of all objects in the active page, including media files. From there you can option-double-click any item in the list to download it.
