Hi,

I have recently formated and reinstall osx 10.3.9 using the reinstall CDs.
Now I cannot launch Skype. No error message or anything, just wouldn't launch.

I have checked the autorisations under disk utilities...
I have tried different version of skype...still the same thing.

Is there an option to allow skype to launch required ?

Thanks a lot.
David

So you reinstalled 10.3.9?
Please doublecheck the version of OS X, from the apple in the upper left corner, "about this mac.." should list the version. Is it 10.3.9 or something 10.3.before?
Skype 2.7 should launch with 10.3.9.

When you used Disk Utility, were any permissions changed?
How much empty space do you have? 10%, 15%, more of your hard drive?

Thanks for your reply,

It is definately 10.3.9, the utility added some permission.
I have a total of 74 Go, 38 Go free, in the disk info it says:
Owner: system
Acces: read and write
other: read only
and there is a button "apply to excluded elements"....I wonder what this does...

Did you copy skype over from a previous system? Is it on the same hard drive/partition than your system?
