Programs not opening for some users

I am running Mac OS X 10.4X on my Mac Pro. Up until a rew weeks ago all the software I had loaded was useable by all users. Now, three of the programs (Primer Express, Sequencher and MacVector) will open fine for me, but when others login and try to launch the programs, they begin to run and then we get the message that they had quit unexpectantly. I have made no changes to the permissions on any of this software or to the versions.

As I said they work fine for me. I am the owner of two of the three programs, the other is showing "system" as the owner.

Can you point me in the right direction for resolution of this issue.

Something is messing up in the permissions. From another drive use Disk Utility on the drive or run fsck on the machine.
 
Thank you for the response. I have run a verify and repair on the permissions and no problems were found. I made a change to the software, having it open in the OS 9 format. When I do I get a message that the Key (dongle) can't be found. This is interesting, because it finds it just fine when I am logged in as myself.

Any other suggestions?
