Progressive JPEG modification?

Hello everyone, I have a particular program that cannot handle "progressive" JPEGs.

Is there a way to convert progressive JPEGs into whatever non-progressive JPEGs are called? Is it interlaced? I think I have heard that term before...

I have a wide variety of image editing tools, I just need to know what it is I'm looking to do!

Any help appreciated!
 
Try Graphic Converter (from versiontracker.com, etc). I know
it offers to write a proressive JPEG, so it might read one. And
save as a straight JPEG.
