I have an older ProTools setup--Digi 002 rack (H/W) with powered monitors connected. I recently was able to get CPU sounds (Apple Logic/I-Tunes, etc.) routed through the 002 rack (took some machinations for Apple to recognize the H/W). (Prior to this, ProTools was the only S/W that would use the powered monitors--Logic, etc. would only play back through the CPU).
A consequence is that ProTools will not load. It bounces in the tray a couple of times and that's it. Right click to open does nothing. If the Protools H/W (002 rack) is powered off--it used to at least tell me that--it's like it's not installed--it doesn't see it.
Running a "big" MAC 2 X 3 GHz Quad Core Intel Xeon (w/ 8GB RAM); Version 10.4.11; and ProTools 7.3 (I believe--it won't open--disc is Version 7.0--but it seems like there was a free online Digi upgrade).
YES, YES, YES--I HAVE installed the new Digi patch that was specific for 10.4.11--no joy!
Any help, much appreciated!!!
Thanks
