Noticed a little issue when specifying a proxy server in the System preferences. When specifiying a proxy server address and port for web proxy and ftp, Safari and software updates no longer work. IE and Netscape authenticate to the proxy normally. I asked an Apple Instructor about this, and he was clueless as to why it would not work. The proxy is a Microsoft ISA server.

Jaguar and Tiger currently have a broken ISA Proxy interface but Panther ususally works. Google Authoxy.
