Since upgrading to Hewlett-Packard's new driver (3.0.1), I have been unable to print web pages. The printer just spits out a bunch of blank pages. This happens even if I print to Preview and attempt to print from their. The only work-around I have been able to find has been to save the web pages as a PDF file, open it in Reader, and print it from there.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, resetting the printing system, and running Printer Setup Repair, but the problem persists.

I have contacted HP tech support, and their "solution" is to back-grade to version 2.1.9 of the driver, which I believe is at least 2 versions ago. The problem with doing this is that the new driver (3.0.1) seems to have solved another problem. Before the driver upgrade, the printer used to stop in the middle of jobs, stopping the print queue all by itself, a problem which, according to the boards, was not at all uncommon.

My computer is a G-4 Dual 867 with 2GB of RAM, running under Mac OS 10.4.2.

I'd appreciate any help you can provide.
