Purchasing New iphone 3G S

Just finished trying to purchase the iPhone 3G S.

This is what the website told me:

There was a problem completing your purchase. You can complete your purchase at an Apple retail store.

We’ll see you at the store.

Thanks for reserving your iPhone. When you arrive at the Apple Retail Store, talk to
a Concierge in an orange shirt. From there, we’ll help you complete your purchase.

What to bring

You must bring the following with you when you visit the Apple Retail Store:

* A valid, government-issued ID
* A credit card
* Your Social Security number

My question is, may I show up at the store prior to 6/19/2009 to complete my purchase (not PICK UP the phone, I know that won't be possible, but simply complete my purchase)?

Did any of you receive this message while trying to buy the new iPhone 3G S?

It thinks your are a government worker and needs to validate that you are who you say your are to receive the discount. Call the store first and ask them, don't be shy.
