Q: Quickest Install and Carbob Copy Cloner?

Hi
Can anyone tell me the quickest route to getting a 10.14 install.
Can I use the 10.14 installer directly on top of the basic 10 install or is it necessary to go:
10 to 10.1 to 10.12 to 10.13 to 10.14 ??

Also has anyone used a product called 'carbon copy cloner' ?

Is it reliable?

Install 10.1 and download all stuff from Apple's update servers. OR Download all stuff from the apple update page and install it by ourself. But be carefull that you do it in the right way!

CCC is a great program! Buy it! :p
