Quake 3 Arena in OS X

Hey man!, I just get an error when I try to fix it for OSX, Can someone help me how to do it?. I replaced the new Q3A icon with the old one is that right?
 
Quake 3 is slower on OSX here. I have always been satisfied with its OS9 version because it's as smooth as Unreal Tournament when playing. While OSX slugs down both of them.
