Problem: I can't distill PS files created by Quark 6.1's Export to PDF function. The PS file simply fails and flushes, every time. I've tried restarting Distiller, restarting the computer, running it with no other programs running, etc. Still flushes. Printing to PS and distilling THAT usually works, but that's not the way it's supposed to be done, so I'm hoping to solve the problem.
Background & details: As part of the established workflow, we're supposed to export to PDF through Quark 6.1. The export prefs are set to create a postscript file which we then distill using Acrobat Distiller v. 7.0. The Distiller setting is "Standard", which means it'll generate a low-res PDF so we can send the thing around for proofreading, etc.
This works for everyone else, but apparently mine is the only computer that uses OS 10.5.6 so we're thinking that might have something to do with it also. Particularly since the system was migrated upward from some lower OS (don't know which).
And yes, I know there are workarounds and I wouldn't even have this problem using InDy, etc. etc. But my boss would really like me to not have to use any workarounds and InDy is not currently part of the workflow.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
