I work in printing. I was outputting a customer supplied Quark file, one of the effects in the document was a shadow on the text. It was created by placing a yellow, (made up of 70%Y and 20%M) over black. The yellow was not knocking out the black behind it, I tried the usual tricks placing a white copy behind it etc. Nothing worked, after looking at the file for awhile I noticed that any colors in the file that had black content in them, knocked out of the black! I then added .1% of black to the mix of yellow, and it knocked out! Anyone ever have the experience or know why?????
