QuarkXPress

Hello!

I am doing a survey/research paper that is due sometime in October on QuarkXPress and how if it can run in a computer lab environment. We have experienced trouble while it runs in Classic under the network. But on any local machine if it is logged on with a local account, it will run smoothly. If anyone has had success in their computer lab at all, please respond to this thread=). It would be greatly appreciated plus it will help in my research to make the best grade possible on my midterm paper.

So what exactly is your problem? What are you doing or trying to do? What is exactly happening? What spec machines are you running on and what version of QuarkXPress are you running?

Or is it just me?

I remember seeing something on MacFixIt about problems with Quark on a network. Check there, but I would also go to Quarks site for support.

The main problem that we have is getting Quark 4.11 to run in Mac OS X 10.2.6. We have 3 Mac Labs in the School of Communication and only one of them has QuarkXPress in it. The machines that run Quark are the gray PowerMac G4 machines. Locally the application works or under an administrative screen name it will work. But if you log in under one of the user names, and you launch Classic, the icon will dance in the dock but it will freeze up and will cause some temporary problems for that user.
I will try that solution on Macfixit but if anyone has anything or can help out in anyway, this would benefit my research!
