Question about iphoto

When I burn a photo album onto CD, the photos come out buried in a maze of year, month and day folders, just as they are stored on my HD. Is there any way I can can configure iphoto so that all the photos just appear on the root folder of the CD?

sadly no, there is no way. what you can do however is make a burn folder, and drag the photos from the iphoto window to the burn folder, then when you have what photos you want on it, click the burn button in the folder.
 
You can make a burn folder, then do an iPhoto export to it, or use iDVD (with a slideshow).
