Question about Terminal.app shot at Think Secret

It looks like what you use to split the screen so you can see buffered lines and still see current lines, but I didn't think Terminal had that. I wonder if it's a hidden preference you can turn on.

you will notice that terminal.app preferences in that picture allow you to control transparency. currently, with 10.1, you can only do that with command line hidden preferences, but it is in the GUI preferences in jaguar. so we are looking at jaguars terminal.app

Forgive me if I am misinterpreting you here, but what does that have to do with my question? :)

yeah, i didn t answer your question at all. sorry. i have no idea what that thing is. i was just responding to rharder s suggestion that it might be hidden preferences. whoops

There's nothing "hidden" about that widget at all. It's just a new feature in the new version of Terminal.app.

rharder is correct, though. When you click-drag from it, a horizontal bar appears, splitting the terminal window. This is a similar behavior to some word processors, such as Microsoft Word.

Cool. So I click that button and the window turns into two horizontal frames, what was previously in it going to one and I get a prompt in the other? Sounds like vim's split function.
