I know this is a newbiesh question...

My My Book external hard drive has two FireWire ports.

Does this mean that I can connect it simultaneously to both my Mac Mini and my iMac?

Thanks,

I don't think so.

But you can connect the MyBook to your iMac, and then start-up your MacMini (while pressing and holding down 't' on the keyboard) and the MacMini will mount to you iMac as a hard drive.

Nice drive choice. Did you get the Pro with triple interface or the standard with USB/FW400?

To answer your question about connecting the My Book to 2 computers at one: no. The second firewire port is so you can daisy-chain another My Book drive off the current drive.

Not the Pro--the "Premium" which has USB and FW.

I am keeping an eye on the 1 TB Pro though...maybe for an upgrade later on.
