After unsucessfully trying to configure the built in FTP in OS X to follow sym links I decided to bite the bullet and install proFTP.
After looking through the config file it doesn't seem to be as powerfull as I thought it was. Of course I installed a pre-compiled 1.2.4 package instead of compiling the source myself.
When I log in using my main user account I only have access to a few of my directories (library and Desktop) and I am unable to leave my home folder. How do I grant access to extra folders?
In a completely unrelated note FTPing to my X.2 computer, through the terminal, using the default server I could follow Sim links. If I use fetch it wouldn't follow them. Is it just a problem with fetch or my configuration.
