Hello all

Running Mac mini o/s 10.4.11

When doing software updates does that include bluetooth firmware and bluetooth software?

How can I tell if I'm on the most current bluetooth firmware and software. The version numbers listed on Apple's site don't look anything like what system profiler show.

Short answer: yes.

Apple will update all system software, including Bluetooth, Java, security updates, graphics card drivers, etc. through Software Update (on the Apple Menu).

Sometimes people get irritated with Apple for being slow with some updates, but generally speaking you can update all Apple software simply by running Software Update.
