hi,
i compressed a video-file to H264 using mencoder, and the quality/filesize ratio is very good and quicktime plays the file perfectly fine.
but now i want to 'hint' the file for use on a streaming server, and that is where i get stuck:
- trying to 'export as hinted movie', quicktime bails with the error 'qtKitErrorCatchAll (-2015)'
(which doesn't sound very promissing..)
- trying to export to .mp4 using 'passthrough' for both audio and video, but with the mp4-streaming options set, the export process just quits without any error..
does anyone know why this happens, and how to solve it?
ofcourse i can restart the whole process again, and re-render to H264 from the source (using Quicktime),
but it took ages to get to this amazing quality/size ratio, i have the file playing fine here in quicktime, i just need hints for the streaming seerver...
thanks.
