Okay, now that I have your attention...

Question about MacWorld Keynotes being broadcast over satellite.

What exactly do you need to recieve it?

I have satellite cable through Directv but I don't think I can pick up anything other than directv.

Or am I wrong?

LOL...

I is broadcasted via satelite to their website! You need a fast connection to retreive it. :p

Just a hunch, but I think that kind of technical information is for the media companies such as CNN, MSNBC, CNET, etc, so that they can get the broadcast and send it out on their TV channels... I don't think that's information for consumers to use. Too bad, though. I wouldn't mind tuning a satellite dish to the "Apple Channel."

If you have the old-school monster satellite dishes in your back yard you can set it to those coordinates and pick up the broadcast. One of the advantages to having one of those old eyesores in the back yard is that you can pick up all kinds of broadcasts. I have friends who set their VCRs to record TV shows direct and comercial free from the networks. You just have to know the right numbers. Apple is giving us those for MacWorld.

So do the Apple stores always have the broadcasts on satellite TV? If so, I might have to make the trip. . . It would be even better if I could pick up some new hardware while I was there (but that seems unlikely--or might it be possible?)
