Quicktime updater issues

When I run the Quicktime software updater I get a strange alert.
"Your Software Udpates cannot be shown because one or more of the updates contains incorrect information"
And then it tells you to click on the sofware update pane to see if the problem is fixed?
I do know I have QT5.0.5 but if i run Quicktime Player. there it sais I have QuickTime™ version 5.0.2 Player Version 5.0.2...
It is plain annoying to get that window each time i want to check for QT updates?
Any body else has the same problem? if so..any ideas?

I did what you suggested "by creating another administrative user in the Users panel" No luck..same strange window.
The other "tactic" you suggested I don't think I want to try that one since i am on a shitty dial up connection and it will take for ever to d/l all the updates again.
What I am thinking of doing (if I find out how, since I only know how to do it in OS9) would be the uninstall QT5.0.2 and then reinstall it again, maybe that would correct the strange update error.
