Quicktime volume settings...

Hi this is my first post with this forum so hi!

At the moment I using quicktime a lot to view multipal .mov stored on my system everything is fine for the most part but the app is a real pain for the reason that it sets the audio volume to max when ever a new movie is opened.

Is there away to stop it doing this because after turning down the volume 30 in a day it does get a bit boring...

Sorry, I couldn't find anything on Versiontracker.
MacUpdate.com was a no-go.
Download.com was unhelpful.

You may be out of luck. Why don't you try adjusting your system volume, or your speaker volume?

Thanks for the help with this little annoying problem, but I think its one of those things that can be sorted out with normal human powers alone.

Quicktime might be able to be controlled with applescript?, but being a non expert at this scripting lang I think I'm going to have to just turn down the volume myself..

I wasn't looking for an applescript solution it was just something I thought of when I wrote the reply.

I was ultimately thinking of something that could be manipulated within quicktime itself to eradicate this problemo..

But thank you for the URL anyway.

Are you opposed to turning down your system volume? Would that work for your purposes, or is it another issue?
 
No it just that the quicktime movie I am watching are tutorials for software and the teachers voice goes really bad at full volume turning it down makes it bearable and levels it out.

Don't worry I have decided to trash the files, sell my mac, and I'm off to the rain forest to sell ice instead.

No, keep your Mac! You'll need it to keep track of your ice sales and inventory. :)

I guess you just need to make a habit of adjusting the volume when you open a QT file. At least it's not weird like in QT 4 (I never had a problem with the wheel, but others did).
