Quicktime....

I can't get quicktime to play a standard ole mpg file of scour.... what can I do to get my movies playing on os x?

Apple hadn't correctly licensed the mpg technology for OSX when the release was made. It is as good as finished, simply not included. You will have to run the movie in your old OS9 Quicktime player. Simply run Classic, i'm afraid.
