Quiicktime 6.1 cpu hog

Hi all

Dont know if this is just me and my little iBook, but I've noticed that when normally playing an MPEG video in QuicktimePlayer, my CPU usage is roughly 50%, which I can accept.

When going to fullscreen mode the usage jumps to 95%.

But wait, it gets better, when pausing the movie in fullscreen mode, the usage doesnt go down as expected but stays in the same high 90's.

Has anyone else noticed this??

It sounds like your CPU and/or graphics chip is just dated. Running high res video full screen can be pretty demanding.The only advice I can give is to get a new computer.
