'Quit' menu bar

Is it possible to quit or hide the menu bar? And when it's gone, is it possible to open it again with a single mouse click/terminal command, or do I need to install X again...?
Last question: is it very dangerous? i mean is there a change that my mac starts blowing smoke or something?

PS: Why quit the menu? Just for fun. With my disks hidden, no crap on the desktop and the dock hidden my screen is clean... :)
 
Sorry, but just for fun? I think killing the Finder would help you! I dont really know. Just wanted to say how stupid and unusefull this post is! LOL :p :D

mmmmmmmm, tnx.
I know it's kinda weird, but do you know that there are people who want to change the color of the sound and airport icons in the menu bar? Multiple docks? I think it's just 'another' strange question.
