have a sonnet raid card. have 2 120gb wd identical drives. aiming for raid striping. i also have a 160gb drive. can all 3 drives work togther on that sonnet card? what are my options with these 3 drives? is it possible to stripe all 3 drives or will i need to buy a 4th? thanks.

To stripe drives together they should be the same size. Preferably the same make/model. If I were you I'd put the 160GB on the internal bus (use as boot disk) and stripe the 2 120GB disks on the sonnet card.
Remember that when you stripe you get better performance at the expense of a decreased Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF). This means that you can expect your virtual disk to fail in half the time of the advertised MTBF of the member drives.
And remember - when a member of a stripe set fails all your data on the virtual disk is lost. There is no redundancy.
