RAM Prices

Earlier this summer I was thinking about buying a couple of 256mb dimms for my powerbook, but I decided to wait, as the cheapest was about $70/dimm. Even a couple of weeks ago the lowest price was around $60/dimm, now a 256mb dimm can be had for uner $40. Will these prices keep dropping? Or should I act now?

Smaller companies, which have been driving the price down, are now losing far too much money to keep going much longer. I expect the bottom to drop out of the market VERY soon and there's going to be a giant shakedown. Afterwards, the big three will probably still be around, and RAM quality will go back up with the prices, stableizing. Repeat as necessary.
