I have a PowerMac G5 running OSX 10.3.9, when I woke my machine from sleep, a random network login window was on my desktop. I dont know where it came from or how to get rid of it as it does not respond to clickin on Cancel etc

The only way I could clear it was to restart my Mac!

Does anybody know what this is and how to resolve it ?

Thanks in advance.

Have a look in system preferences under "Energy Saver" in the Hardware section. In the "options" tab there is a "Wake for Ethernet network admin access" box. Check to see if that has been toggled.

Other than that i can only think of checking the "Startup Disk" options under the System section of System prefs.
