re-activating a timed-out server account

Hi, I'm the sysadmin for an Apple server. In Workgroup Manager, the icon of the user I'm trying to reactivate has a red X through it. The last time I did this, the user was inactivated because he entered the wrong password too many times. All I had to do was change his password and his account became active again and the X disappeared. I think this account timed-out due to inactivity (she was on vacation for a long time) and changing the password does nothing. I can't find any option to reactivate the account and get rid of the X so she can sign into the server again and access her files.
I'm using OSX server version 10.5.7, Workgroup Manager 10.5.5
