re-recording CDs?

I made an audio CD in iTunes with a CD-RW CD. I realized after that I needed to edit out a bit at the end. Even though the CD is abot 23 minutes long, can I assume that I cannot erase it / re-record? Neither Disk Utility nor Toast will let it erase it. Did iTunes do something to not allow this?

Surprisingly, we don't seem to have the capacity to erase CDs in OS-X just yet. I would have expected Toast would have a utility to do this, at the very least. Perhaps there is a third-party app that does it, but if there is, I haven't heard of it. I've heard it will be a feature in 10.2, but until then I have to drop back to OS 9 to erase a CD-RW.

You sure about that? I thought you were supposed to be able to do that in Disk Utility. Or do you mean CDs recorded in iTunes?
