I am trying to setup a read only Archive afp share. Currently I have an afp share on a 10.4.7 xServe 2Ghz G5 set up as read only user and group. when I copy a file from it to another share with global read/write and with inherit permissions turned on it takes on the read/write permissions correctly.
When I try to copy to a client desktop (10.4.9 G5 Dual 1.8) however the files keep their read only status. Any advice? Thank you in advance.
