I have not been able to get support from READIRIS. I installed ReadIris on my G5 and it installed ok. When I ran the software for the first time, it asked for a serial number. While I was digging for it, the software crashed. No biggie, I ran it again and this time it asks me to select four default fonts (however there are only three lines with dropdowns that are empty) and there is no way to proceed from that point. I have to force quit the software. So I uninstalled, cleaned my drives of all preferences, etc. Re-installed and it comes to the same selection box and I must force quit again. Obviously it has installed some hidden file (I used path-finder to search for hidden files with readiris or just iris in the name to no avail) that must be removed to start over.
I then installed it on my Powerbook just to check and it installed ok.
Any ideas or other OCR I should try?
