well many people hate RealBasic but i personaly like it it is very simple to learn and use :) but if you are alerady an experianced programer i wouldint recomend it. :) And toast it is the best i love it :)

UMM i dont know why people hate it but i think its because it is not the most powerful language around :( (but i love it )

Some programmers dislike BASIC in general because it apparently encourages, shall we say, "less than perfect" programming techniques. But REALBasic is still a good introduction to programming.

Toast is one of the best CD burning applications on the Mac software market today. You should thoroughly enjoy using it.

Toast is great, REALbasic is wonderful.

REALbasic is a completely blatent rip-off of Microsoft Visual Basic, but that's OK, because it does such a great job of porting it, and people like myself who learnt UI-programming in VB are amazingly easily able to create programs in REALbasic, or port code from PC to Mac in one step.

It's a great program that really doesn't deserve any of the bad rap it gets from so many developers for being "Candy-programming" - pretty, tastes nice in the mouth, but not any good for you.
