RealPlayer Codec??

Hi guys,

Im trying to watch the news stream from the bbc on my iMac but they require wmp OR realplayer to view. Is there anytype of codec for these? so the real player itself doesn't have to be installed?

For Windows Media streams, install WMV Player.

For RealMedia, you pretty much have to use RealPlayer. MPlayer can decode some versions of RealVideo, but I don't think it can handle the latest ones on Macs. It's worth a shot if you need to play RM streams and for whatever reason can't/won't use RealPlayer, though.

I don't understand why you did the obvious thing of looking on microsoft.com for Windows Media codecs/players and real.com for the Real Player. They're free and they're fine.
