Receiving mobile messaging question

When i used to use a windows PC i was be able to send and receive mobile chat messages.. now since ive starting using a MAC(have had it for about 4 months) i havent been able to receive any mobile messages on either ADIUMx or MSN MAC.. on the newest version of MSN MAC it tells you that you can only send mesages and the recipient will not be able to reply.. is that current with the newest windows live messenger version? I remember on windows XP i used to be able to send and receive messages via MSN.

That's not normal. I can send and receive MSN messages with both the newest MSN version for Mac from Microsoft as well as Adium.

Might be kind of a network or account problem?
