Recover deleted user data

Hi,

Lately I deleted a user to start over. Now I want to mount all its old data (i found the username.sparseimage file) but I don't know how to do it.

Just double click that sparseimage file to mount it as a volume on the desktop. You will then be able to copy the files back to where-ever you want them.

oh please oh please... does that work on Mail accounts that were associated with that user?

erit: it DID work. In the user folder, in Deleted users folder, there it was in a dmg file... all the emails and desktop and stuff

Also creating the same user with exactly the same specs might work. Note that especially the shortname and user id will be very important.
