A friend of mine has erased a file on her Mac Book Pro running OS X 4.11. Once upon a time, the Norton Utilities would have been able to recover that erased file in an instant, but as Symantec have left the path of Mac Wisdom, that isn't an option.
So is there any way to recover the missing file from within Tiger, or are there any free utilities that will do this. It's not the most important file in the world, so it isn't worth going to the expense of buying top whack data retrieval software.
