recurring cookie

While using Safari, I have gotten into the habit of deleting cookies once in awhile. Lately though, I've noticed that one cookie keeps reappearing even though I haven't visited the site during that session. I paid special attention to this issue today and regularly deleted my cookies. I noticed it seemed to 'reappear' about every 15 minutes or so.

Any idea why this is so? And is there anyway to permanently remove the offending item?

Check out SafariPlus,
This is a very good cookie manager that lets you mark favorite cookies that you want to keep, then it will delete all the other cookies from a browsing session when you shut Safari down.

Just an update on this.
I trashed the Cookies.plist file that resides in the User library>Cookies folder, but it appears that the cookie still regenerates itself. Thanks for your quick reply jbarley, this looks like an interesting program but I'm really interested in getting rid of the script or file or whatever it is that keeps regenerating this cookie. I'm not a techie and so I'm hoping someone who is more so than I am may have a suggestion on this.
