Reinstalling App with new serial number

I have 2 licences for Final Cut Studio 2:
1 is an upgrade from FCS1 for MBpro1
The other is a stand-alone (NFR copy) for MBpro2.

I need to transfer the upgrade licence from MBpro1 to MBpro2
And install the NFR copy onto MBPro1 for the first time.

2 problems in one here:
1) On install of the NFR copy, it does not invite me to enter the new serial number.
2) The installation hangs after about 20 minutes.

While it was hanging I noticed I could run the newly installed FCP program and sure enough it still retained the earlier Upgrade serial number.

So... QUESTION 1
How do I uninstall the upgrade completely so that I can enter the new licence number.

QUESTION 2
Were I to fix Q1 would problem 2 go away? or is this a probable installation disc fault? or something else?

I found the solution myself:

There is a licence file for Final Cut Studio 2 called "Final Cut Studio system ID" which resides in the following folder:
[local hard-drive]\Library\Application Support\Pro Apps\

Deleting that file will prompt the installation software (or one of the FCS2 applications on launch) to request a new licence number.

I have also discovered that there is some freeware available to completely uninstall and remove all the files, components and system settings for Final Cut Studio 2. It can be downloaded from this webpage: www.digitalrebellion.com/fcs_remover.htm

The second problem I had was that the installation process kept stalling at the point when some Qmaster components were being unpacked. So I aborted the install, then searched the whole drive for everything pertaining to Qmaster and deleted them, then re-installed. Doing this fixed the problem. Clearly, had I been able to uninstall completely all FCS2 components first, the second problem would not have arisen.

Cheers
