Remote Desktop

I am a new mac user. I have a g4 powerbook running tiger.

I need to connect to my work using a Cisco VPN client and connect to servers running windows. When i hook up and open the remote desktop client, all I get is a black window.

Any suggestions appreciated.

PS. Its not my home connection I can connect just fine using my old PC laptop, the vpn client and remote desktop.
 
Denise...I don't know the answer to this, but if you find out how to do it, will you please post back here? I'd be curious to know about this.

What are you using to connect? There's a program I've used on Linux called rdesktop which I've used to connect to Win2000 servers, and XP Pro, both running Windows Terminal Server. I guess that's my only suggestion...give rdesktop a try; hopefully it runs on OS X.
