removing Imac plastic covers

I now have 4 Imacs ( G3 front slot loading, blue, light blue) that have various problems that make them unusable. (1 corrupted hard drive, 1 distorted screen, etc.) Do you need a special tool to remove the plastic cover? I would like to try to combine working parts to make at least one that functions. I don't have any manuals and checked the net for instructions to no avail. any suggestions?
 
No, all this can be done with a screw driver and little "arm-strong". Some of the iMac revs even have all the parts on a nice sled and they come out very easily. Do a quick google search on your specific model and add "take apart Manual" to it and you will find lots of great colorfull manuals to walk you through the dismantaling process. It might require a little digging as Apple has a problem with their Service manuals being posted on the internet.
