Removing Old Applications to Free Up Memory

I am wanting to free up memory on my machine and have old software I am no longer using. Specifically, the apps are Photoshop 6.0 & Illustrator 8.0. I am using OSX 10.3.9. How do I find all of the little "pieces" that are put in the system from these apps?

Thank you in advance!

Just delete their application folders. The only "pieces" that aren't kept in the folders are the user preferences for the applications, which usually use less hard drive space than this paragraph. If you do want to get rid of them, look for the "com.adobe...." files in /Library/Preferences and (home folder)/Library/Preferences.
