Replacement DVD drive.

Am I right in saying that any third party IDE DVD drive will work in a G4 tower.

I don't know about "any", but mine did, and it didn't even work well with the PC I bought it for...I love Macs

Can you play DVD Movies in an external USB/Firewire DVD drive? My PowerMac only came with CD-RW, but it'd be great if I could use it for watching DVDs, and I don't want to pull out my CD-RW

Jonski: Yeah, pretty much any IDE DVD player will work fine in your G4. If you want to be certain, go here and do a search for the drive you're thinking about.
