Replacement LCD for a TiBook

I'm in the process of repairing a TiBook, 1GHz DVI. I need a new LCD, but I'm not sure if I need one from the specific DVI model, or if any 15" screen will work (from a TiBook). I think I'm going to need the DVI LCD, but the other LCDs are a lot cheaper, so I wanted to ask. Thanks!

I guess the connectors could be different, because the DVI quite possibly means that the internal display is connected differently as well...

You probably need the specific DVI model. I tried to cobble together a few G4 iMacs, but my plan failed when I discovered the screen ports were different from version to version on the motherboards. Damn you, Apple...
