Hiya,
The other night I decided I ought to make a more secure password for the admin account on my computer, so I set it to something long and complicated. The next day I couldn't remember exactly what it was so I used the install disc to reset the password.
Then when I started up the computer, the admin account had disappeared from the login window. Only my regular account remained. Logged in on my regular account, I went to System Preferences / Accounts, but it was completely blank. And when I try to perform admin functions that require I type in an admin name and password, it doesn't recognise the admin name or new password. So it's impossible to do anything admin at the moment.
However, the folder for the admin account still exists in /Users, so I think all of its contents must still be intact.
Please help!
