restart from dvd

my macbook pro doesn t resatr from dvd even if i restart with c key .
the macbook will not install the tiger dvd
it just open the system from hd
 
What kind of Tiger DVD is it? Is it a retail version (black DVD), or a computer-specific version (gray-colored DVD) -- and, if so, what model is it specific to?
