My iChat was acting funny today (it was repeatedly trying to sign on over and over and over, non-stop).
I had been a while since my last restart so I figured I reboot and see if that fixed the problem. I restarted my computer.
It starts up to the apple screen and I see the little spinning time thingy, and after a few seconds it shuts right back down.
I'm running 10.5 (what ever subversion was right before the most recent update).
If I hold down the option key, I get the disk select menu, I can start off my windows partition just fine (thats what I'm using now), but when I select the mac partition I get the above problem...lets me to believe its a problem only with the OS X partition. What could it be? How do I fix it? I unfortunately just moved, and left my system disks at my mom's house (5 hour drive away)...
Advice, suggestions, help?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: forgot to mention I'm using the original macbook core duo, 1 gig of ram and 80 gig hard drive.
